Step 1: Initial Consultation – Understanding Your Vision
The first step is all about getting to know you, your space, and your design goals. During this meeting (either in person or virtually), we’ll discuss:
Your style preferences (modern, classic, eclectic, etc.).
The function of the space—who uses it, how often, and for what purposes.
Any inspirations you have (Pinterest boards, magazine cutouts, etc.).
Your budget and ideal timeline.
At this stage, I’ll also assess the space, take preliminary measurements, and discuss any existing furniture or elements you want to keep.
Step 2: Concept Development & Mood Boards
Once I understand your vision, I begin crafting a design concept that aligns with your needs and aesthetic. This phase includes:
Mood Boards: A visual representation of colors, textures, furniture, and accessories.
Space Planning: Rough layouts to maximize functionality and flow.
Preliminary Budget Estimates: A realistic cost breakdown for furniture, materials, and decor.
This is an exciting stage because you’ll start seeing your ideas take shape. We’ll review the concept together and refine it based on your feedback.
Step 3: Detailed Design & Material Selection
During the Detailed Design & Material Selection phase, we refine your design concept by choosing the finishes, furnishings, fabrics, and fixtures that bring the vision to life. Every selection is made with your lifestyle, aesthetic, and budget in mind, ensuring a cohesive and elevated final look. This is where the details come together to create a space that feels both intentional and uniquely yours.With a clear direction established, I dive into the finer details:
3D Renderings or Detailed Sketches – Bringing the design to life with visuals.
Material & Finish Selections – Choosing fabrics, flooring, countertops, lighting, and more.
Furniture & Decor Sourcing – Curating pieces that fit the vision and budget.
This phase is highly collaborative, ensuring every selection aligns with your expectations before moving forward.
Step 4: Procurement & Project Management
Once the design is finalized, I handle ordering, tracking, and coordinating all elements to ensure a smooth execution. This includes:
Managing vendor relationships and placing furniture/material orders.
Scheduling deliveries and overseeing logistics.
Troubleshooting any potential delays or issues.
For clients opting for full-service interior design, I also coordinate with contractors, painters, and other professionals needed to bring the vision to life.
Step 5: Installation & Styling
The final stage is where everything comes together. I oversee the installation process, ensuring furniture, lighting, and decor are arranged exactly as planned. Once everything is in place, I add the finishing touches—artwork, accessories, and styling details—to create a polished, cohesive look.
Depending on the project scope, clients may have a big reveal moment or be involved throughout the setup process.
Step 6: The Final Walkthrough & Post-Project Support
Once the space is complete, we do a final walkthrough to ensure every detail meets your expectations. I also provide:
Styling tips to maintain the look over time.
Recommendations for future updates if needed.
Support for any minor adjustments or questions after project completion.
